Samfella is the Icelandic word for continuum. The routing of the zipper inspired us to give this name.
The Samfella Pouch is an attempt to create a sleek and simple pouch that is not as flat as most zipper pouches, but also does not have the typical, boxy cut. We think the Samfella Pouch has turned out quite elegant. - This is of course also underlined by the lining with Seigaiha print.
Seigaiha?
The Seigaiha pattern is intended to represent sea waves that flow in a fan-shaped, unlimited and calm manner. It thereby symbolizes peace and eternity. The name Seigaiha is derived from the courtly dance of the same name from the story "Genji monogatari" by the lady-in-waiting Murasaki Shikibu.
